Although Mesotherapy can be used on a very overweight person, a person with limited area of fat can lose inches more economically than a person who may first require a weight loss program before beginning Mesotherapy. Ideally, you should be within thirty pounds of your preferred weight before attempting Mesotherapy.
Areas That Can Be Treated

Mesotherapy can work on any area of your body that you wish to remove stubborn fat deposits or see more contouring. The treatment is often used to remove underarm fat or decrease the width of your waist. Other treated areas include “love handles”, thighs, hips, stomach, and fatty bulges on the upper or lower back. Mesotherapy is a method of removing fat deposits that remain unaffected by diet and exercise.

Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation
As skin ages, circulation decreases and the resulting reduction of oxygen and nutrients hinders the body's ability to flush out toxins. Actually “meso” means middle because the injections are made directly to the middle layer of skin. This is the area that traps fat in the body, especially the “love handles”.
The ingredients that are used in the mesotherapy formula help to dissolve the fat and block the accumulation of more fat. After the treatment many patients describe their skin as looking rested, radiant, glowing and firmer. Mesotherapy can be used as a supplement or as an alternative to many procedures, including Botox, laser resurfacing, peels, antioxidants, topical creams, facelifts, weight reduction, cellulite, scar and wrinkle removal and in some cases restoring and restructuring thinning hair.
Mesotherapy is a highly effective rejuvenating treatment used to tone and tighten sagging skin on the neck, legs, abdomen, arms and hands. In Europe women often start the treatments in their twenties, but Mesotherapy can be of value during any stage of a woman’s life.

Quick Recovery Time
Because mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that requires no anesthesia, no incisions, no sutures, there is very little aftercare required. Most patients will want to go home and rest after their treatment. Many will be able to go to work the next day, but others will need a day or two to rest afterwards. When a patient goes back to work will depend entirely on how he or she feels post-treatment.
For comfort, a patient will want to wear loose-fitting clothes near the area of treatment for a day or two post-treatment because there will be swelling and possible bruising. The area also may be tender to the touch for some time afterward. Patients should drink six eight-ounce glasses of water, sports drinks or even soup each day for the first two or three days after treatment to remain hydrated. Showers rather than baths are recommended. Patients should avoid saunas and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for the first week or so after treatment. Patients should not expect to find, but, nonetheless should look for any signs of blistering, or unusual skin discoloration that might require follow-up by a nurse or physician.
Mesotherapy vs. Liposuction
Mesotherapy is a safe, natural alternative to invasive cosmetic procedures. The process includes the delivery of vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the skin to nourish and rejuvenate.
Results with mesotherapy are gradual, as small areas are targeted over a period of time to eventually have a cumulative effect. On the other hand, results with plastic surgery such as liposuction are immediately visible, and may be quite dramatic. For this reason, “Before and After” photos of people who have undergone mesotherapy may have more subtle differences between them than one would expect to see with plastic surgery.
